Lewisville store - Butt Candy for Christmas
Upon my return to the States, I desperately needed a dose of what’s good about being an American. You know what I mean: Burgers, Cold Beer, Sports on big screens and American Girls. I couldn’t think of a better place and time to achieve sensory overload than Twin Peaks Valentine’s Day dress up week. I mean, come on, doesn’t a girl in lingerie make ANY food taste better?
Valentine's week at TP
During our conversations with our vivacious waitress my buddy and I asked about taking her picture – she was of course ready to pose but said no butt pics. Upon asking why, she said it is the policy of the restaurant. Apparently, a patron was almost thrown out by the manager (a new one since my last visit months ago) when he snapped a picture of a young waitress’s behind. Now, I know from being a long time TP customer, that “butt” pictures are common. In fact, TP has even posted them on their MySpace pages! So, here’s to you, Mr. “no butt pics Manager at TP Adisson” – a collage of pictures taken from Twin Peaks MySpace pages. Enjoy!

Send me your pics of Twin Peaks butts and we will try to post them!

It was Hooters CEO Coby Brooks’s turn to go undercover in the “Undercover Boss”. The CBS Network’s reality show “Undercover Boss” that premiered last week and told viewers a thing or two about Waste Management, it was really exciting to go into the world of Hooters, as Coby Brooks left his Corner Office seat for a short time for an entry-leave job in his own organization.
Coby Brooks said it was an opportunity for him, and that he did not know if it is ever going to happen, but fortunately it did. It has been 20 long years since he has been into the field….Coby Brooks was talking to Harry Smith the co-anchor for the “Early Show”.
The show featured Coby Brooks starting his week of Undercover Boss from busboy and went on to the assistant manager’s post and acquired the knowledge of the positives and negative feelings of masses have for Rooters chain.
During this one week Coby Brooks also witnessed a store manager treating the girls without respect, while inspecting the workers everyday in a very uncomfortable fashion.
Coby Brooks said on the CBS Networks’ “Undercover Boss” that he has witnessed some very inappropriate things today and the way that store manager approached the girls was absolutely unacceptable.
Although that store manager was not fired from his job, but it has been reported that he has changed his management style since that day.
Coby Brooks also cleared the Hooters tainted reputation on the “Undercover Boss”, while saying that his company is a woman-friendly place that authorizes women all the time.
Vanda Purvis at Twin Peaks Photo Shoot recently
Vanda Purvis (aka Bambi from Twin Peaks scandalous gun photo) is seen here doing a photo shoot for a Twin Peaks promo, and posing for the 2010 Pin Up Girl calendar. The photo shoot was done at a location in Deep Ellum, Dallas. Vanda is a real sweetie, full of spunk and personality.

Charisse - the winner
The First Annual Twin Peaks Addison Bikini Contest was held Sunday, Sep 6 at 6 pm. And what an event. We arrived at 4:15, thinking we could get a prime seat for viewing, but alas, all the tables in the middle were taken. Yet, by 5 pm we felt fortunate as it was just about left to standing room only, or sit in the “Cougar Den” (separate party room with shuffle, foosball, etc and TVs). The crowd was of course male dominated but I was surprised at the number of girls in attendance – either with their boyfriend or as a supporter / voter of a girlfriend who was in the contest. So not only where there some hotties in bikinis, but some hotties in the audience as well.
The contest is open to any girl from a Twin Peaks restaurant, and they started to wander in around 5 pm, from Mesquite, Lewisville, Plano, Frisco and of course Addison location. Several weeks ago they held one at the Mesquite location and several of the guys I talked to mentioned they had attended that one as well. Each girl gets a “catwalk” across the long curving bar – they put a carpet down on top of the it. Each girl is also asked some questions and their answers are read out as they strut down the bar top. The questions are a bit lame but sometimes funny – like what is your favorite body part was one of them. Afterwards, each girl walks around from table to table to ask you to vote for them. The stakes are high, as first place gets $500 in cash.
It ended around 8 pm, with the winner being Charisse from the newly opened (Aug 31) Frisco location. Charisse was a sweet heart and a beauty to behold. Her swim suit was custom made (and it showed). She worked at Hooters for a while, then switched to Twin Peaks Plano where she moved up to heading up the training there. Now she works at the Frisco store, tending bar. We also learned she is married, and is moving from N Dallas to Frisco, which is a more family place…suitable for raising kids I asked? Charisse politely dodged answering that question.
Next bikini contest is in Plano, Sep 20th. Cougar Killer and I will be in attendance. smile.

Lombard St in San Francisco
They borrowed an idea from your intrepid blogger. Those west coast liberals shamelessly hijacked my nostalgic blog regarding CandyLand and Twin Peaks. Today, August 19th, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the game CandyLand, they are turning Lombard Street in San Francisco into the CandyLand board game, complete with actors dressed up as the board characters. (cant wait to see how they dress up Princess Lolli Pop). It should be mentioned that it is for the benefit of children from the UCSF hospital, so I won’t protest too loudly.
In response to the left coast celebration in the city on the bay, I challenge Twin Peaks to also celebrate the 60th anniversary of CandyLand! Let’s get the girls to dress up as Princess Lollipop! Offer a free beer to anyone that comes dressed up as one of the characters (um, scratch that – that would be friggin weird).
No matter, instead of gumdrop candy, have a Jaegermeister shot instead. And on second thought, keep the girls in the TP lumber jack outfits.
Sometimes change is not good in our lives.
